Now more than ever, NHRA drag racing at Sonoma Raceway brings fans more of what they love, with the return of Pro Stock class and two Nitro qualifying sessions Friday night under the lights. With every ticket being a pit pass, fans can get up close to the likes of Steve Anderson, Erica Enders, and Dallas Glenn all weekend long.
After a one-year hiatus, the stars of NHRA’s Pro Stock class will make their way out to Sonoma Raceway for the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals July 26-28. The last time Pro Stock came to wine country, Enders defeated Anderson on a holeshot win in the finals with a stellar reaction time of just .018 seconds.
This season, Dallas Glenn holds an 89-point lead over Anderson and 120-point lead over Enders, in search of his first career Pro Stock championship.
One of the most unique and highly anticipated nights of the year at Sonoma Raceway takes place Friday evening after sundown. Not just one but two electric Nitro qualifying sessions for the Top Fuel and Funny Car classes will light up the night sky, reaching speeds in excess of 330 miles per hour. Justin Ashley and J.R. Todd are looking to make it back-to-back nitro wins in Sonoma, but have a whole host of fierce competitors looking to take their throne and earn a victory goblet.
