The stars of NASCAR return to the west coast to Sonoma Raceway for the only points paying race in California this season during the weekend of June 7-9. Beyond the roar of stock cars screaming down The Esses, there are plenty other can’t-miss activities to complement the fan experience during Northern California’s lone race weekend of the year.

Driver Appearances

Sonoma Raceway will deliver unparalleled access to interact and converse with your favorite drivers with a litany of appearances in the Speedway Experience in the Fan Zone. Weekend appearances include Toyota’s own Brent Crews on Friday, June 7 and Chandler Smith on Saturday, June 8 before Cup Series drivers – such as Ross Chastain, Tyler Reddick and Chase Briscoe – take centerstage the following day.

NASCAR champion Kurt Busch, Bubba Wallace, and John Hunter Nemechek will make appearances at the Toyota Racing Experience Display on Sunday, June 9 while Chase Briscoe, Ross Chastain, Justin Haley, Tyler Reddick, Austin Cindric, and 2-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip all have scheduled appearances in the Fan Zone.

Mexico’s own and 2022 Toyota/Save Mart 350 winner Daniel Suarez will also have a pre-race appearance at the 99 Club located at The Point (special ticket required) before trying to add another trophy to his collection.

Driving Double Duty

Select NASCAR Cup Series drivers will be taking to Sonoma Raceway’s freshly-paved, 10-turn road course two days in a row as they’ll be pulling double duty in the NASCAR Xfinity Series AND NASCAR Cup Series races.

Bay Area native AJ Allmendinger, XFINITY Series Champion Ty Gibbs, and John Hunter Nemechek all will take part against some of the rising names in the sport during the Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 250 on Saturday, June 8.

The King’s Corner

A one-of-a-kind art installation featuring the likeness of Richard Petty’s iconic cowboy hat. The six-foot tall, 1,000-pound fiberglass and concrete statue will become a permanent display at Sonoma Raceway after the Toyota/Save Mart 350 Weekend. During the weekend, you can find it at The Hub located in the Fan Zone.

Farming to the Finish

Join us in celebrating California's agricultural heritage on Saturday, June 8 from 9 AM – 4 PM. Farm to Finish Line is located outside of the Pre-Race Gate as an extension of the Fan Zone and will feature booths from local farmers and ranchers, agricultural education displays, giveaways and educational speakers. Considered a tremendous part of both NASCAR’s and Sonoma Raceway’s identity, this unique activation will shed a light on the roots of racing out west and how it all comes together to make a race weekend like this happen.

Sweet String Music

Sonoma Raceway will be a hotbed for electric entertainment as the track will welcome a versatile lineup of musicians to light up the stage throughout race weekend. From a stop on the Tim Dugger & Friends tour after the NASCAR Xfinity Series Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 250 to the thunderous pre-race jams from Bay Area native DJ Umami before the Toyota/Save Mart 350, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to McQueen, there will be a Mandarin’s drumline to get everyone hyped during race day, going around the property to make sure every fan feels the roar? And if that’s not enough, while you are getting settled in for any of the numerous events during pre-race, the Patriots Jet Team will showcase another thrilling experience as they fly in several formations over the track!
