Sonoma Raceway is thrilled to announce that Robert Alton, the 2023 Save Mart Oakdale Store Manager of the Year, will serve as the Honorary Starter for the NASCAR Cup Series Toyota/Save Mart 350 race on Sunday, June 9.

Alton’s 33-year career with The Save Mart Companies mirrors the partnership between Save Mart and Sonoma Raceway which, at 32 years, is one of the longest standing entitlement sponsorships in NASCAR.

“Robert knows that it takes a team to succeed, whether in retail or in racing,” said Brian Flynn, executive vice president and general manager of Sonoma Raceway. “We’re excited to celebrate our long-time partnership and watch as Robert waves the green flag to start the Toyota/Save Mart 350.”
