For the first time ever, NASCAR at Sonoma Raceway will drive deeper into the summer months next year when the Toyota/Save Mart 350 weekend moves to its new date of July 11-13, 2025.
July in California just got a whole lot more exciting with NASCAR at Sonoma Raceway, offering fans the perfect opportunity to add some adrenaline to their summer. The transition to a mid-summer date allows more fans to attend, particularly campers with families and college students.
"It’s fantastic to now have the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at the heart of summer when more fans are free to travel and enjoy a great weekend of racing,” said Sonoma Raceway Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Flynn. “Having three days of racing action gives our fans even more reasons to join us in Northern California.”
The new in-season tournament for 2025, dubbed NASCAR’s Midsummer Madness, was announced earlier this year and will include Sonoma Raceway. 32 drivers will compete over five races in an elimination-style bracket format.
Sonoma’s July NASCAR weekend, punctuated by the Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday, July 13, will be NASCAR’s only visit to California in 2025. The series will run the historically popular chute configuration, adding to the fan experience with more opportunities for passing and on-track battles. The challenging 1.99-mile road course set in the hillsides of wine country provides fans the perfect setting for exciting racing as drivers battle through 10 turns and elevation changes over the 110-lap race.
The Toyota/Save Mart 350 will be the 21st race on the 36-race NASCAR Cup Series schedule. Sonoma Raceway will be the fourth of six road/street course races.
Race weekend will also feature the return of the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, July 12. Practice and qualifying times, broadcast partners and support race information will be announced at a later date.
