Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) Sonoma is now accepting grant applications from Sonoma County non-profit youth groups for its 2022 grant cycle.
SCC Sonoma, the philanthropic arm of Sonoma Raceway, offers this opportunity annually to local organizations that serve children and families in need. Since the program’s inception in 2001, SCC Sonoma has gifted more than $7 million to more than 50 organizations in Sonoma County.
Qualified grant applicants must be youth-focused, 501(c)(3) non-profit groups serving Sonoma County. This year, priority will be given to programs that support critical needs including food insecurity, homelessness, orphan and foster resources, and young victims of trafficking. While these are areas of priority, all applications will receive consideration.
Organizations can apply through July 29, 2022 at www.speedwaycharities.org.
SCC Sonoma is dedicated to caring for children in critical need to help them and their families live safe, productive lives. Through fundraising campaigns such as the popular Laps for Charity, the new “Adopt-a-Sheep” program, and annual events held throughout NASCAR and NHRA race weekends, the charity is able to provide essential funds to distribute throughout the local community. From homelessness to food insecurity and everything in between, the organization takes on the heavy lifting of fundraising so community partners can focus on providing for children and their families.
