SONOMA, Calif. (May 17, 2018) - Sonoma Raceway has teamed up with Viansa Sonoma to bring the best of Sonoma Valley wine country to the track during the raceway's summer racing season.
Viansa Sonoma, known for award-winning wines, iconic 270-degree views of the Sonoma Valley and warm hospitality, has been named the Official Wine Sponsor of Sonoma Raceway.
Viansa Sonoma will serve as the presenting sponsor of the raceway's popular NASCAR Checkered Flag Club hospitality at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 event, and the winery, located less than five miles from the raceway, will be a featured stop on the free round-trip shuttle from the 50 Acres Campground to the Sonoma Plaza during the NASCAR race weekend. Provided by the Sonoma Valley Visitor's Bureau, this service gives campers a unique chance to enjoy local offerings.
Race fans can also learn more about the winery during major event weekends at their display in the main paddock. In addition, Viansa Sonoma will be the location of the 12th annual Eric Medlen Nitro Night charity dinner leading into the Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals weekend.
Viansa Sonoma, located just four miles north of the raceway, is situated on a dramatic overlook with extensive views of Sonoma Valley, a protected wetlands preserve, and the waters of the San Pablo Bay. Viansa Sonoma boasts a world-class tasting bar, marketplace featuring gourmet items as well as vineyard vistas.
"Sonoma Raceway is an iconic landmark to the area, so naturally we are thrilled to partner with such exciting events," said Michael Domer, Director of Operations at Viansa Sonoma. "We look forward to enjoying the exhilarating races and welcoming race fans to the winery."
