The Wednesday Night Drags took over the Sonoma Raceway drag strip, Oct. 19. It was another great evening of racing with many of the pre-race favorites losing early allowing new drivers to join the first-time winners list including Robert Lezzeni ((Sport Street), Erneste Reyes (Gear Jammer) and Joe Sisk (Motorcycle). Collecting other class wins were Rick Mcllmoil (Jack Pot), Tom Johnson (Comp Rod), Mike Gervais (Street) and Jorge Valencia Jr. (High School). Wednesday Night Drags racing returns to the strip next Wednesday, Oct. 26. Practice runs begin at 4 p.m. with racing spanning from 5-9 p.m. Fans and spectators who bring in four or more non-perishable food items for the Sonoma Raceway Food drive will receive a $10 voucher good for any 2017 drag racing event.
